Luxury for Toasty Polvo® is not about excess or loudness. It is about emotional resonance, thoughtful placement, and moments that feel quietly cared for.

Meet Maria Javier

Toasty Polvo® began during a period of personal and professional transition.

After more than a decade working across politics, advocacy, and nonprofit leadership, founder Maria Javier found herself searching for something grounding, creative, and joyful again. During the 2024 holiday season, she began making polvoron for friends and family, reconnecting with a Filipino dessert deeply tied to comfort, memory, and home.

As Toasty Polvo® began taking shape, Maria later learned that her grandmother had once made and sold polvoron from her bakery in Sampaloc, Manila — a family connection she had never known before.

What began as experimentation unexpectedly became a continuation of something generational.

Why Polvoron?

For many people, polvoron has become associated with dry, chalky imported versions designed for shelf life rather than experience.
